Several months ago, I was  with Emily in Lyon. It is always  a pleasure to be with her. I dont know why,  maybe for that or for the enormous beers that we us drank, we went away of the Café des Negociants,  "mas contentas que unas castañuelas"

Five years and five stitches

My son Vasco is five years old, and since last wednesday, has five stitches as well. Seems that he was playing in the school yard with her loved "Jane"...

A ritmo de Jazz

Últimamente he descubierto los placeres de dibujar a ritmo de Jazz. El saxofonista Bill McHenry ha sido una de mis primeras víctimas, por suerte se lo tomó con deportividad e incluso me firmó el retrato.


Lately I've discovered the pleasure of drawing surrounded by Jazz music. The saxophonist Bill McHenrry has been one of my victims; luckily he was merciful with my drawing skills and even signed my drawing.

Estrenando temporada de playa

Hace calorazo en Sevilla así que ayer cogimos bártulos y fumos a estrenar la temporada familiar de playa.
Fuimos a Punta Umbría en Huelva.

It´s really hot in Seville this week, so yesterday we started the family beach season.
We went to Punta Umbria in Huelva.



Retraté a más de un cuerpo escombro, incluida mi madre, a la que no le gustó nada este primer retrato que le hice, prefiere el de la derecha, que no se le ve la cara... ¿Qué pensáis?

My mother was also fulminant portrayed while she was sunbathing after bathing. 

She was not very happy with the first portrait I made her merciless. She prefers the one in the right...

In a meeting of sketchers, the "problem" is when my unability for the protraits joins to a litle bite of cruelty, the result are some portraits without mercy.

Useful for a sketcher having beers.

The other day I found myself on vacation in mountain with several friends who were themselves came with other friends, etc ... 
The principle was to ski until exhaustion the day and meet in the evening in a bar. 
Difficult to know who is who after a few beers, but here it is: I found the answer with this clever drawn reminder...

El otro día quedé con mi amigo Josemi de Algeciras para ver la final del concurso de agrupaciones carnavalescas del Gran Teatro Falla de Cádiz, y mientras yo comía kikos y pipas mi colega me dibujó, aquí os dejo este retrato ¡ithout mercy, any any mercy!

NELSON&JOAQUÍN

El pasado fin de semana ha sido muy productivo en lo que se refiere a retratos sin piedad. Tengo una larga lista para compartir. Tengo para colgar aquí para todo el mes de Febrero.
Empiezo con nuestro querido Nelson Paciencia de nuevo. Cuando veo los retratos en el cuaderno de Nelson me apetece dibujar a la gente más deformada aún.
Joaquín G. Dorao estaba a mi lado y ha sido mi víctima en este experimento de deformación.

My past weekend has been very productive in reference to portraits mercilessly. I have a long list to share. I have for posting here for the entire month of February.

I begin with our dear Nelson Paciencia again, already known by here. When I see the portraits in Nelson´s sketchbooks I want mine even more deformed.
Joaquín G. Dorao was beside me and I used him as a victim for this deformation experiment.

A few portraits, and something that happened under a shower.

Here are a few ones made with a ballpoint pen on flying sheets of paper  at the end of the sketchcrawl, at the best moment (to my mind): the beer time.

Ricardô is another alcoholic sketcher from Clermont, as you can see on this portrait ( with a lot of mercy, for once), and while I was drawing him, he was telling us a terrific story that happened to his girlfriend under the shower a few days ago.

I didn't write the end of the story ( and wrote the story in French) for more suspense, but feel free to email him to know what happened.

I like to draw people.
I think it's an unique opportunity to share moments of intimacy that belong only protagonists of these secrets times.

Un hombre a una nariz pegado...

A mi equipo de esquí hay que sumarle una libreta de bolsillo y un boli de 4 colores. Con eso retrato a la fauna variopinta de los teleféricos. La narizota de este señor me encantó.

I ski with a pocket notepad and a 4 color ball pen. With that I portrait the colorful fauna on the cable cars. I loved the big nose of this guy.

¿Quien dijo compasión?

¿Compasión yo cuando se trata de un retrato? Venga ya.....aquí va la muestra de cuando estuvimos en Zaragoza jeje  (con el perdón ya concedido, claro....)
