I don't know about you guys, but I find that many of my merciless portraits are very quick sketches, when I don't have the time to focus or don't have a clear view of my subject.

It's the case of this portrait of Ch'ng Kiah Kiean I did during his demo at the symposium. He's even difficult to recognise...

Drink helps to draw without mercy :)

One of the best part of the Symposium is Drink&Draw evenings! Eating and drinking and chatting and sketching each other - what can be better? I also think that a "drink" part definitely helps to sketch be looser and merciless. Here are some sketches from these evenings in Barcelona.
